    Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Discipline AI ("Discipline AI", "we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use of the Discipline AI mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. Eligibility & Age Rating

    You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Discipline AI is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and "Everyone" on Google Play; we do not knowingly direct the Service to children under 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from them (see our Privacy Policy).

    2. Your Account

    You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@discipline-ai.app immediately of any unauthorized use.

    3. License

    Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. The Service is licensed, not sold, to you.

    4. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

    • Billing. Paid subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
    • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
    • Manage or cancel. You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in your device's account settings (App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions). Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
    • Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
    • Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective policies. We are unable to issue refunds for charges processed by the App Store or Google Play. By using our app and making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple, as part of our efforts to resolve refund requests. This information may include details about how you have accessed and interacted with the purchased content. The purpose of sharing this data is to help Apple make an informed decision regarding refund requests. We ensure that such data sharing is done in compliance with Apple's policies and only as necessary to process your requests.

    5. User-Generated Content

    You retain ownership of the goals, roadmaps, notes, and other content you create ("User Content"). You grant Discipline AI a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it.

    6. Acceptable Use & Objectionable Content

    To comply with the Apple App Store and Google Play policies, you agree not to use the Service to create, upload, transmit, or share content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, violent, or that promotes self-harm, illegal activity, or the exploitation of minors. You also agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service; (b) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (c) use the Service to build a competing product; or (d) violate any applicable law.

    Reporting and moderation. Users can report objectionable content or abusive behavior at any time by emailing support@discipline-ai.app or via in-app reporting where available. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Egregious violations result in immediate removal.

    7. AI-Generated Output

    Roadmaps, recommendations, and other outputs are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. They are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or fitness advice. Always exercise your own judgment and consult a qualified professional for important decisions.

    8. Third-Party Services

    The Service may interoperate with third-party services (for example, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, App Store, Google Play, analytics, and cloud hosting providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

    9. Disclaimer of Warranties

    The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discipline AI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

    11. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold Discipline AI harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

    12. Termination

    You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via the Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

    13. Apple App Store Additional Terms (EULA)

    If you obtained the Service from the Apple App Store, the following also apply: (a) these Terms are between you and Discipline AI only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content; (b) the license is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service; (c) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support; (d) in the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price; otherwise, Apple has no warranty obligation; (e) Apple is not responsible for product claims, regulatory compliance, or third-party intellectual property claims; (f) you represent that you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-party list; and (g) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

    14. Google Play Additional Terms

    If you obtained the Service from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service.

    15. Export Controls

    You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws, including U.S. Export Administration Regulations and sanctions programs.

    16. Governing Law & Disputes

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence still apply. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

    17. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
